So my regulator is my mask?
The PADI Full Face Mask Diver Specialty provides the safety, technical and practical knowledge needed to become a competent and comfortable full-face-mask diver.
This 1-day course at Surrey Hills Dive Lake starts with an extended briefing and a shallow orientation dive to practise the required full face mask orientation skills, followed by two open water dives.

- Minimum age: 15 years
- Prerequisite: Open Water Diver
- Duration: 1 day
- Location: Surrey Hills Dive Lake, Tapwood, Reigate Rd, Buckland, Reigate RH2 9RE
- Meet: at the lake at 10:00 midweek or 09:00 at weekends
- No home study required; your instructor runs an extended briefing covering the key concepts and techniques for using full face masks before your dives
- A shallow orientation dive to practise the required full face mask orientation skills
- Two open water dives with one of our senior instructors, practising mask removal, out-of-air drills and buoyancy control
- Your instructor will log your training, sign your logbook and advise on continuing your training, such as the PADI Rescue Diver course

Important Information
- Lake entrance: £20
- Air fills: One fill per lake day is included, and extra fills are £8 cash each, paid at the lake
- Bring your certification card, logbook and towel, plus any other dive kit you own (optional but recommended)
- LSD provides the full face mask and other dive kit, apart from your own normal mask, snorkel and boots or gloves; changing facilities are available
- Bring food and drinks or money to purchase them
- LSD does not provide transport to the open-water site; car sharing will be sought but cannot be guaranteed
- A Scuba Review (£135) is required if you have not dived within 12 months — get £20 off when booked at the same time as your course with code SR20
- Winter (November to April): the PADI Dry Suit Diver specialty is required. If you need a suit, dry suit hire is £40 for the course, added at checkout

The full face mask is supplied for this course. You also bring your own normal mask and snorkel, plus boots in summer or gloves in winter. Everything else is as listed in the course details.
