The PADI Surface Marker Buoy Specialty teaches the knowledge and techniques required to use marker buoys and delayed surface marker buoys safely.
Across two lake dives, practise reels and launch methods from negative and neutrally buoyant positions—skills that become vital around drift dives and boat traffic.

- Minimum age: 12 years
- Prerequisite: Open Water Diver

- LSD does not provide transport to the open-water site; car sharing will be sought but cannot be guaranteed
- A Scuba Review is required if you have not dived within 12 months: £99, normally £109
