Become an Instructor in 2016

The objective of the Instructor Development program is to prepare you to become a PADI instructor. The program involves a varied curriculum of presentations, confined and open water workshops, discussions and candidate teaching presentations. The program consists of the Assistant Instructor course (AI), the Open Water Scuba Instructor course (OWSI) and the Instructor Examination (IE). When the AI and OWSI are done in combination they constitute the Instructor Development Course (IDC).

LSD has been awarded Career Development Centre (CDC) status for eight years in a row now since 2008 highlighting our success rate above normal IDC centres. This is an award given by PADI denoting exceptional performance in instructor training and is rarely given. Our Course Director was awarded Platinum Status, an award achieved by very few Course Directors worldwide. You will not find a more professional team ready to begin your training and when it comes to your professional training you should demand the best. LSD was the only centre in the UK awarded the CDC rating in 2013 and we are the only centre in the south east of England to have achieved this for 2014 and 2015.

Not all IDC’s are the same and all you have to do is ask anyone who has taken an IDC at London School of Diving. Our record is exceptional with a 100% pass rate for years years running and all you have to do is ask anyone who has taken an IDC at LSD as to our professionalism. Our aim is beyond making you pass the Instructor Exam. It is to make you great Instructors.
