How It Works

Specialty Instructor training is flexible and built around the specialties you choose.
Each course typically includes:

Focused academic sessions

Practical teaching guidance

Open water dives where required

Real-world tips for delivering courses safely and effectively

You can complete individual specialties or combine multiple ratings as part of a package.

Course Details

Duration: Dependent on the number and type of specialties selected

Schedule: Run regularly on a weekly basis

Pre-requisites: PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor

Additional costs: Lake entry fees, PADI Specialty Instructor application fees £60 each (paid directly to PADI)

Working Towards MSDT

If you’re aiming for the Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) rating, you’ll need five Specialty Instructor certifications.
We can structure your training to help you achieve this efficiently, including recommended combinations based on demand and teaching opportunities.
