Be a Confident and Prepared Diver
The PADI Rescue Diver Course takes your diving skills to the next level by focusing on problem prevention and management. Learn to think beyond yourself and respond effectively in emergency situations. This course is both rigorous and rewarding, helping you build confidence and gain valuable skills for your future dives.
Paired with the Emergency First Response (EFR) Course, you’ll learn CPR and First Aid techniques essential for every diver. These combined skills make you a well-rounded, prepared diver ready for any situation.

Course Details
Focus on mastering key rescue exercises, including self-rescue, panicked diver response, underwater problem-solving, and missing diver procedures. Your instructor will guide you through Rescue Exercises 1-10 in a safe and controlled environment.
Apply the skills you learned in the pool during two open water dives. You’ll practice Rescue Scenarios 1 and 2, such as managing an unresponsive diver at the surface and underwater, while building confidence in real-world conditions.
The EFR course is interlaced with your Rescue Diver course. This essential training includes:
Online eLearning, including the final exam
Primary Care (CPR) practice
Secondary Care (First Aid) practice
Life-saving scenarios under professional guidance
If you already hold valid CPR/First Aid training completed within the last 24 months, you can deselect the EFR Add-On during checkout.
Extras
A 2.5-hour pool session on Day 1 to practice essential drysuit skills and buoyancy control for colder water conditions.
Learn how to administer oxygen in dive-related emergencies—a valuable life-saving skill. This course can be completed alongside your Rescue Diver course. There’s no additional in-water training required.
