PADI eLearning explained
How does the online study work?
A short time after booking you will receive an email from PADI with details on how to activate your online account. If you have done your booking after 1800 then this code will not be issued until the following morning. After enrolling, PADI’s eLearning® system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace.
Do I need to have all the online theory completed before my pool session?
We recommend that you finsh as much of the online theory as you can before your Part A pool training session at LSD but it is not neccesary at the stage to have it completed. You will need have the online theory fully completed and have printed off your PADI e-record before you start your Part B training with us or at any other dive centre.
How long will it take to complete the home study program?
Depending on which course you are taking the times vary slightly but they all take approximately 8 hours to complete. You can stop and start your study as much as you like and carry on when you next log back. The eLearning course will be available for one year from the time of course registration. Though you must finish the online portion of the course within that time frame, you will have perpetual access to an online version of the PADI manuals.
