Philippines Dive Trip – Feb 16-28 2019
Join LSD on a magical adventure to the Philippines in February 2019. We are spending 10 nights at the lovely Magic Island Resort and escaping the cold winter of the UK. Magic Oceans Dive Resort in Anda is the pearl of the super green island of Bohol. You will be staying is luxurious bungalows hidden in lush green surroundings. Relaxing or diving, at Magic Oceans everything is possible.
This resort is far away from the busy tourist areas making your stay more peaceful and enjoyable. There is a fabulous house reef teeming with life that is great for both divers and snorkelers and easy to access directly from the resort. There are 17 kilometres of coastline to explore underwater, with a mix of walls, sandy slopes and sandy bottom muck diving to suit all your diving needs. After a day out diving what better way to relax than with a cocktail by the pool, followed by a delicious dinner in the restaurant. This is going to be pure bliss.
The super-size dive centre can comfortably accommodate 35 divers and every diver gets their own spot with their name attached which they keep for their whole vacation. In the wet area there are 3 showers and 5 large rinse tanks for all the dive gear and cameras. There is also a dedicated camera area with electricity, good light and airguns.
Anda has 16kms of diving pleasure to offer plus a sandbank, Lamanok Island and several diving day trips. The options include muck diving, walls covered with healthy corals, sandy slopes, small caves, mangroves and sandy bottoms full of life. The marine life varies from XXS to XXL, pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs, schools of fish, a passing whale shark and even an occasional manta.
When diving with Magic Oceans there are three boats to choose from. The two larger boats come fully equipped with a dry area and an enclosed toilet and all three of the boats offer refreshments between dives such as tea, coffee, water and fresh local fruit. For those hardcore or budding photographers amongst you there are also fresh water rinse tanks onboard all three boats.
When you arrive on the island of Bohol you will be amazed by how lush and green it is. As you drive to the resort along the beautiful coastline it is clear to see that the main industry of the island is farming. You will pass by fields of rice, watermelons, peanuts and bananas to name a few of the crops grown here. You might be lucky enough to get a glimpse of the locals still using the traditional farming methods that have been passed down through generations.
Anda is located on a small peninsula on the Eastern tip of Bohol. It is still a hidden gem away from the main touristic areas, even though there is a beautiful untouched white sand beach, amazing view points and outstanding diving.
During your stay with us there are many options for tours you can enjoy to learn more about the locality or the island of Bohol as a whole.
As this trip is LSD led we will be able to offer a range of PADI courses. This trip is available to Open Water Divers and above. Non diver rates are available too for partners.
