PADI IDC Staff Instructor

PADI Staff Instructor Course

Looking to help usher in the next generation of instructors?

The PADI IDC Staff Instructor course is designed to provide PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers with the additional training necessary to staff PADI Instructor Development programs. Just as scuba divers look up to divemasters, instructor candidates really respect IDC Staff Instructors. As the name implies, IDC Staff Instructors assist with instructor training and share their wisdom and experience with the new PADI leaders. Taking the IDC Staff Instructor course provides you with in-depth knowledge of the instructor development process and prepares you to shape the next generation of PADI Professionals. It’s also a great career move.

IDC Staff Instructor Express

The Express option offers an alternative to auditing an IDC and is designed for candidates with time constraints. It is by far the more popular version of the Staff Instructor course.  There is a training and evaluation program which is followed by candidates presenting components of the Assistant Instructor course. It is very flexible and the academic and confined water sessions are conducted by one of our Course Directors at our purpose built dive centre in London. Academic modules are carried out in state of the art classrooms with the confined water sessions conducted in our on-site heated pool. There is no open water work with this format of the course. These courses are run weekly.

IDC Staff Instructor Full Audit

This is a two day training and evaluation program followed by auditing a complete IDC. Auditing the IDC allows the candidate to apply and practice evaluation skills gained during the training and evaluation program. We can tailor the training and evaluation phase to suit individual’s needs but training would usually take place two days prior to one of our IDC’s. These courses are run in conjunction with our advertised IDC’s.
